US Secretary of State Kerry in Close Door Meeting with Jonathan and Buhari in Lagos

The United States of America Secretary of
State, John Kerry arrived Lagos on Sunday our
correspondent reports. Kerry had earlier met
President Goodluck Jonathan behind closed
door at the old Government House, Marina,
Lagos before also meeting with the APC
presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari at
the US Consulate at Victoria Island, Lagos.
It was learnt that the American Secretary of
State's meeting with the two leading
presidential candidates in the forthcoming
general elections has to do with the tensed
situation across the country as the presidential
Election Day draws nearer.
Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan was
at the Winners Chapel, Ota, Ogun State earlier
on Sunday to worship with the congregation.
He was quoted to have urged the worshippers
to pray for the country to surmount its
numerous challenges.
President Jonathan commended the leader of
the Winners Chapel, Bishop Oyedepo for his
steadfastness in praying for progress of the
country.
