The 21-year-old has made only five appearances for
the Gunners this term but Palace boss Alan Pardew
believes the striker is ready for a regular first-team
role
Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo has joined Crystal Palace
on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has made only five appearances for
Arsenal this term, while his last start came in the 4-1
win at Galatasaray in the Champions League group
stage on December 9.
"When the Arsenal manager spoke with me about
Crystal Palace I was very happy because I want to play
more games," Sanogo told Palace's official website.
"I think Palace are a good team, I watched the game
against Tottenham and it was a great performance
from the guys. I hope I can help the club have a
successful second half of the season."
Sanogo is Alan Pardew's first signing following his
appointment as Palace boss earlier this month and the
53-year-old insists the striker is prepared for a regular
first-team role.
"We have given him an opportunity, he needs to play
more games and I think he's ready for that and he
proved that at Arsenal," said the Palace manager.
"It's tough to get in their team but he's closer to the
starting action with us."
